Author - This page was created by Miss Jeanne Waters. She graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Elementary Education and Social Studies 7-12 from Elmira College. Currently, she is furthering her education at SUNY Albany, completing her Masters in Curriculum Design and Instructional Technology. At the same time, Miss Waters is a full-time teacher in the Voorheesville Central School District, teaching Global I, Sociology, and US History. Miss Waters also has experience teaching in the Scottish School System.
Purpose - This page was created to serve as a reflection of my role as a teacher, advisor, and coach. In this capacity, the site provides links to each of my classes as well as the clubs I advise and sports I coach. Each page herein offers information about the class, club, or sport as well as additional links to be used as resources. The overarching intent of this website is to provide a bridge between what happens at school and what goes on at home in the hopes of encouraging greater parental involvement in their child's education and activities as well as greater communication among all parties.
Intended Audience - Students of Global I, US History, Sociology, and Psychology as well as members of FEA, the Junior Class, MasterMinds, Mock Trial, Girls Soccer, Odyssey of the Mind, and the National History Club. Parents too are welcomed and encouraged to visit the site.
Resources - The following list cites the sources I used to help in the construction of my webpage.
